まだ〜

Formationまだ + negative (not yet), まだ + 〜ています (still)

まだ says a state has not changed. With a negative it comes out as not yet, and with ています it means still going. Both readings are the same idea seen from either side of the change.

   He is still very much alive.

4. 父ちちはまだ休やすんでいる。

   Father is still in bed.

5. この本ほんはまだ版権はんけんが生いきている。

   This book is still copyrighted.
