N4 grammar

〜たら

tara

If and when

Formation

たら is the conditional you can use almost anywhere, built by adding ら to the plain past. It covers both if this happens and when this happens, and unlike ば it is happy to be followed by a request or an order. If you only learn one conditional first, learn this one.
