〜くない

Formationi-adjective, い to くない (+ です)

An i-adjective goes negative by trading its final い for くない. Politeness comes from adding です afterwards, not from changing the adjective. This is where the two adjective types part company, so it is worth practising against じゃない.

   He is not as tall as his brother.

5. たいして楽たのしくなかった。

   We didn't have much fun.
