〜ません

Formationverb stem + ません

ません is the polite way to say a verb did not or will not happen. It swaps in for ます on the same stem, so the rest of the sentence is untouched. This is the negative to use with anyone you are being careful with.

   Giant pandas live only in China.

2. そんなことリクエストしていません。

   I didn't request you to do that.

3. 以後いごこんなことはいたしません。

   I'll never do this again.

4. シャワーの水みずが出でません。

   There's no water coming out of the shower.

5. 彼かれの車くるまにはホイールがありません。

   His car has no wheels.
