N5 grammar

〜になる

ninaru

Becoming, with nouns and na-adjectives

Formation

になる is the same idea as くなる for the other half of the vocabulary: becoming a teacher, going quiet, turning into spring. The に is what lands the change on the noun. Use it for anything that turns into something else, including people.
