〜ので

Formationplain form + ので (noun / na-adjective + なので)

ので gives a reason more gently than から, offering it as circumstance rather than argument. It is what you use asking for an allowance or explaining why you were late. Nouns and na-adjectives need な in front of it.

1. とても寒さむかったので火ひをたいた。

   It was so cold that we made a fire.

2. お金かねがないので、プチッと旅行りょこう。

   As I don't have the money, it'll just be a short trip.

3. 彼かれはいないのでかえって目立めだった。

   He was conspicuous by his absence.

4. 彼かれは仕事しごと中ちゅうなので面会めんかいは出来できません。

   You can't see him because he is engaged.

5. 畳たたみに座すわっていたので足あしが痛いたい。

   My legs ache from sitting on tatami.
